About ‘D36 Valthe in black and white (summer)’ by Dolm

D36 is a hunebed with ten side stones and five capstones. It stands together with D37 near Valthe. Trees grow between the stones. If you look around you see meadows. Usually you hardly see any people there. That makes this location great for unwinding.

Once the stones formed the heart of a burial mound, That was in the late Stone Age, about three thousand years before Christ. The religious and social significance of this place has faded over the years.

The trees are well in leaf; it is summer

This digital drawing was made in the programme Krita. As you get closer to the work, you can better see that the drawing style is free and loose. The bottom layers consist of shades of grey. Over these are digital ink lines.

An artwork like this brings peace and balance to any interior.

Dolm is the studio of Harry Wibier. Among other things, he likes to be inspired by prehistory. Hence, you sometimes recognise cave drawings or dolmens in his work. At the same time, he seeks the connection with the here and now. Hence his motto: "Ancient magic in modern art."

Harry does not have a set method or way of working. He prefers to experiment. That way, he keeps surprising himself and his audience. He has, however, developed a passion for ink lines…

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
