About ‘Le Grand Cairn de Barnenez’ by Dolm
Le Grand Cairn de Barnenez is located on a hill overlooking Morlaix Bay in Brittany. It is one of the oldest monumental stone structures in Europe. Archaeologists date the complex to around 4,800 to 4,000 BC. This makes it older than the Egyptian pyramids, older than the Drenthe dolmens and older than Stonehenge.
