The lady with the saucer with apples in her hands is from a 1909 painting by August Robert Ludwig Mack (1887 - 1914 ), a German painter whose work belongs to German expressionism.
It depicts his wife Elisabeth.
Although I love the original painting, I also found it a bit sombre. I therefore digitally replaced its background with another (digitally produced) painting, in brighter and more cheerful colours.
I did not change anything about Elisabeth, she was and is beautiful as she is.
