Portrait of Pieter Groenendijk, Nicolaes Maes, 1677 - 1685 oil on canvas, h 69.2cm × w 57.8cm × d 8.5cm Pieter Groenendijk held an office in the city council of Leiden. After his marriage to Amsterdam's Petronella Dunois, she moved in with him, with the doll's house. After their death, the doll's house went to their heiress, after which it was inherited in female line each time, until it ended up in the Rijksmuseum.
