Lam Qua (also known as Guan Qiaochang Lamqua) (1801-1860) was a Chinese painter. He lived in Canton Province in the Qing Dynasty and he specialised in Western-style portraits, largely intended for Western clients. Lam Qua was the first Chinese portrait painter to be exhibited in the West.
His paintings include a portrait of a woman. I used this portrait as the basis for this digital collage.
