In spring, as with other animals, it is time for the polar foxes to change their fur. This can often look very amusing when on their body remains of the long winter fur with the new summer fur exchange. As with this female Arctic fox which on the picture almost looks as if she were a small lion with a shaggy mane.
Communicated with a conspecific she has in the situation, as you can see, also diligently but her bark was definitely not a roar of a lion.
