About ‘Pile heads’ by Bram de Jong

These rows of poles were installed to allow smooth shipping from the North Sea via the Westerschelde to Antwerp. But over the years, nature has covered these piles with barnacles and mussels, making them a beautiful backdrop for photographers.
A dramatic sky and setting sun thus create a great atmospheric image of the Dutch coast.
