About the artwork

The former Hoesch site in Dortmund illuminated
Former Phoenix-West blast furnace plant in Dortmund-Hörde with blast furnace, Phoenix Hall and Skywalk as well as surrounding slag heaps.

The Phoenix West site is the symbol of a flourishing metal industry in Dortmund. The disused blast furnace bears witness to the region's former dominance as a producer of pig iron.

A few metres away, the old gasometer of the former blast furnace plant dominates the skyline of the south of Dortmund. The huge, 76.5 metre high cylinder with a capacity of 120,000 cubic metres is still unused. The neighbourhood, which is in the midst of change, is home to modern craft breweries, avant-garde art galleries and picturesque parks that enliven the district. The blast furnaces and the Hoesch gasometer bear witness to this glorious era in Dortmund's industrial history.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
