This is a photo from a black and white series with images from Breda center (Netherlands, North Brabant).
It is the back of a Pharmacy, which looks very modern at the front, but still old-fashioned at the back, due to the large letters on the building. I found it an unexpected view when I walked down that street.
On that street you see mostly houses from the back and garages. In this picture you can also see some garages at the bottom and people seem to live above them, I honestly don't know. The pharmacy at the front is still just in use.
Although I don't know the history of this building myself, I think many Breda people do have emotional memories of this. For me it gave me the feeling of being back in time.
The photo is in black and white, but there is a very slight warm tint through it. Fits well with the nostalgia of the image.
