La petite France in the heart of Strasbourg is one of the most charming and picturesque places in France. Located on the island of Grande Île in the middle of the river, it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The narrow cobbled streets and canals that criss-cross the area are a charming contrast to the colourful old half-timbered houses from the 16th century. The whole area is brightened up by many flowers and cosy restaurants. You can go here for international dishes but also for local specialities such as the typical Alsace dish flammkuchen which is most similar to pizza but with an extra thin bottom.
With this photo the colours are accentuated giving it a colourful and deep contrast.
