About the artwork
Evening atmosphere at the Peñón de Ifach nature park in Calpe. The steep rock faces of the south face are bathed in warm sunlight. Especially at sunset, they appear in strong brown and orange tones, which are subtly reflected in the sea water. In my opinion, the colours and shapes of the rock form a beautiful contrast to the blue tones of the sea. On an evening stroll along the coast in Calpe, I like to be inspired by the tranquil ambience and the sunlit cliffs of the Peñón de Ifach. The harbour of Calpe is located at the foot of the mountain.
The Peñón de Ifach Nature Park (Penyal d'Ifac) is the landmark of the coastal town of Calpe. High up on the summit, it offers wonderful views of the Mediterranean coast. But the imposing rock formation is also a real eye-catcher when viewed from afar. Archaeological finds prove that the sight of the Peñón de Ifach has attracted people for many eras. Nothing has changed to this day. With this photo, I would like to bring the coastal landscape at sunset into your home.
