About "Parrot (Macaw)"

About the artwork

I took the photo of the Yellow-tailed Macaw on 2 September 2007 at Rhenen Zoo. The photo recently edited, so NEVER throw away old photos you never know when you can do something with them.

The species lives in evergreen forests in tropical rainforests, from Mexico to the Amazon rainforest of Peru and Brazil.

The parrot is found from lowlands at sea level to an altitude of 500 metres above sea level. The species used to occur up to an altitude of 1,000 metres, but the yellow-winged macaw has been greatly reduced in numbers and range.

Causes are habitat destruction and collection of specimens for the exotic animal trade. The bird is still found on the island of Coiba National Park (Panama).

The animal has an extensive diet, this diet consists of seeds/pits, fruits, bark and insects. This animal will also lick clay to maintain their salt content.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
