The Seychelles - and the island of La Digue in particular - unfold an atmosphere in the evening that could hardly be more peaceful. In the warm twilight, the bay of paradise is transformed into a natural scene full of harmony. The sun slowly sinks towards the horizon and bathes the fine, white beach in a soft golden yellow colour. The rays break through the leaves between the tall palm trees, drawing bright patterns on the sand and making the air seem to be filled with warm light.
The typical, smooth granite rocks of La Digue shimmer particularly softly in this golden evening light. They stand like natural sculptures on the shore, moulded by the sea over countless years. In this atmosphere, the sound of the waves is almost more soothing than usual, as if the ocean itself is coming to rest.
Anyone who lingers on this beach immediately senses the special serenity of this moment. The combination of tropical warmth, soft light and unspoilt nature makes time stand still for a moment. La Digue is probably at its most peaceful and beautiful at sunset - a place where you can take a deep breath and be completely in the moment.
