Panorama from the Säuling, 2047m, to Füssen and the lake landscape in the Allgäu

by Walter G. Allgöwer

The Säuling, 2047 metres above sea level, towers majestically in the vast expanses of the Allgäu. From its summit, a panorama stretches out that revitalises the senses and touches the soul. The camera captures the indescribable beauty of this landscape in my self-taken photo.
Füssen spreads out before me, a picturesque town surrounded by a backdrop of rolling hills and dense forests. The red roofs of the houses glow in the warm light of the sun, while the streets run like fine veins through the townscape. An air of history and tradition hovers over the old walls, lending the scenery a timeless charm.
But the view extends further, far beyond the borders of Füssen. The clear waters of the Weißensee, Hopfensee and Forggensee lakes shimmer in the distance. Their calm surfaces reflect the sky and form a harmonious interplay of blue and green. The surrounding meadows and forests frame the lakes as if they were guarding their precious jewels.
The majestic splendour of the Säuling, the picturesque beauty of Füssen and the glistening lakes come together in my photo to create a true masterpiece of nature. It is a moment of grandeur, captured for eternity, and reminds me how precious and fascinating our world is.
