Istanbul is a city where worlds meet, and nowhere can you see this better than from a rooftop terrace during sunset. This panorama shows the impressive Blue Mosque on the left and the Aya Sofia on the right, both icons of the city, bathed in the warm light of evening. Between the minarets and domes, a vibrant city that never sleeps unfolds.
What inspired me about this moment was the extraordinary play of colours on the horizon: the blue of the night slowly blends with the last orange and pink hues of the day, giving the skyline an almost fairy-tale feel.
I took this shot on a quiet evening, as the hubbub of the city slowly subsided and the lights came on one by one. The combination of ancient history, vibrant culture and the interplay of light and shadow make this place unique. With this image, I wanted to capture the magic and energy of Istanbul, exactly as I experienced it myself.
