Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco.
The Palace of Fine Arts is a monumental neoclassical structure in San Francisco, in the US state of California. The original structure was built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition to display works of art.
However, it was demolished in 1964 and completely rebuilt in 1965. The Palace of Fine Arts is the only remnant of the 1915 World's Fair still standing in its original location. From 1969 to April 2013, the popular science museum Exploratorium was housed in the building. On 5 December 2005, the palace was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
