Overview photo of Egypt's White Desert National Park. Located in western Egypt, this desert is characterised by monoliths protruding from the ground. A remnant of an ancient sea, the monoliths are made of limestone and are eroded by sandstorms into the most beautiful shapes. The soil consists of a white rock from which the desert gets its name where there is sand in greater or lesser amounts. The atmosphere I wanted to portray is a warm desert with a very special alien landscape that is unique.
