Overflown floodplains of the river IJssel in Overijssel near the village Zalk and city Zwolle seen from above. During wintertime the water level of the river IJssel rises so the floodplains overflow creating a dynamic landscape and natural scenes.

Aerial drone view captures the overflown floodplains along the River IJssel in the province of Overijssel, Netherlands, near the village of Zalk and the city of Zwolle. In winter, rising water levels inundate the surrounding lowlands, creating a mosaic of shallow waters, reed beds, and sparse winter trees under a clear blue sky at twilight. The scene showcases a tranquil rural landscape with golden-brown reeds contrasting against the reflective water surfaces and distant horizon. This image suits commercial uses in travel publications highlighting Dutch natural beauty, environmental reports on seasonal flooding and river ecosystems, or editorial content on European countryside scenery during winter.
