Old times revived: Junkers 52 & Fieseler Storch.
Old times revived during the airshow at La Ferte Alais. A Junkers 52 together with a Fieseler Storch in action during the airshow at Aérodrome de Cerny - La Ferté-Alais on 17 May 2024.
The Junkers 52 was built in Spain in 1943 with parts supplied by Germany at the time. The aircraft ended up in France in 1990, where it was restored and painted in a Luftwaffe colour scheme in 1995 and 2003. This aircraft's home base is La Ferté-Alais.
The Fieseler Storch was a light aircraft designed and produced by the German aircraft manufacturer Fieseler. The nickname Storch was derived from the long legs of the landing gear that made the aircraft compared to a stork. The aircraft was widely used by the Luftwaffe during World War II for reconnaissance flights, to a lesser extent for transport. The aircraft in the picture is a licensed aircraft built by French company Morane-Saulnier in 1959.
