About "Old gate in evening light"

About the artwork

The pointed heads of a wrought-iron fence caught the street light, which also caused small circles of bokeh to appear in the background.

I see details like this all over the Hageland:
tangible traces of heritage that shape our landscape. The patina of the metal, the spots of light dancing, the rhythm of repetition - together they make a graphic, almost musical image.

For me, this work tells of the beauty and poetry in the everyday. An old worn gate where every day you think: "This one needs painting, this one needs replacing...", I suddenly see in a different light. Literally.

It is a small fragment with a big story: generations that passed here, hands that opened the gate, evenings when the village slowly darkened
became dark, countless layers of paint...

It is also a reminder that you really shouldn't look far for beauty. Just pausing for a moment before closing the gate is enough.

In an interior, this picture brings a subtle elegance: the interplay of lines brings structure, the glow of the evening light brings warmth. A detail that makes the room sing softly, without getting loud.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
