While walking through the quaint streets of the historic fortified town of Elburg, I discovered a wonderful photo-opportunity. I passed a house with a small white window and an old brick wall in a mosaic of colours. The red-brown, orange, grey and black tones formed a soft yet striking colour palette that immediately appealed to me. I couldn't help but pull out my camera to capture this unique and special scene. The picture exudes an industrial feel that perfectly fits Elburg's history as a Dutch Hanseatic and fishing town. The old wall and small window seem to bear witness to a rich history and take the viewer back in time to a distant past. I am proud to share this photo and hope it can find a place in someone's home or office to enjoy the atmosphere and history of this beautiful town.
