Coming across a deer suddenly that does not sprint or jump away right away is pretty rare, but this deer was too busy eating to bother with a bunch of people. Instead of people staring at him. He boldly stared at the humans and continued eating.
This photo was taken during a hike in Jasper National Park, Canada. The valley of the five lakes is a beautiful route and around one of the lakes we came across this deer.
The calm, yet cheerful nature of this photo equally represents the hike. Relaxed and adventurous. The deer in the bushes was a nice surprise!
Being face to face with an animal that is often impossible to spot or scurries away during the day is very special. Eating the deer was also very hilarious.
