From the north side, the Storebælts Bridge unfolds like an impressive line on the horizon - a masterpiece of steel and proportion. The piers rise from the water, carrying the bridge like a rhythmic series of sculptures towards the other side. The sea is calm, only slightly rippled by the wind, which again gently carries away the sound of traffic.
Clouds pass slowly in the blue sky, while sunlight illuminates the concrete with an almost warm glow. Despite the scale of this connection, the view is serene. Here, the bridge does not seem to dominate, but to be part of the landscape.
An ingenious structure captured in a moment of silence.
