Sometimes inspiration comes out of nowhere - or rather, while you are waiting at a zebra crossing. During a city trip in New York one day, I stood still at an intersection on 9th Avenue, ready to cross. As I stood there, the view caught my eye: the heavy traffic, the tall buildings and the dynamism of the city. "I have to capture this," I thought, and before the light turned green, I quickly snapped a photo.
At home, back at my computer, I started editing. I wanted to capture that one moment: the energy of the city, the lines of the buildings and the raw atmosphere of 9th Avenue. With some colour accents and abstract editing, I transformed the photo into a work of art that shows the hustle and bustle and beauty of New York.
The result is a powerful representation of the city that never sleeps. It is more than just a photograph; it is a snapshot that reveals New York's unique dynamics and atmosphere. Sometimes the essence of a city is simply in a few seconds waiting for a zebra crossing - if only you look closely!
