Under the bright sun of the Sinai Desert, the nawamis loom like silent sentinels of the past. These round, prehistoric stone structures are scattered across the arid landscape and probably date back to the Chalcolithic era - some five to six thousand years ago.
In this image, the backlight creates an almost sacred atmosphere. The sun is low in the sky, casting a warm glow over sand and stone. The nawamis in the background are partly visible in silhouette, as if merging into the light and emptiness.
The combination of soft shadows, dusty textures and open space evokes a sense of endlessness and stillness. The image invites reflection - on time, humanity and the rhythm of nature.
A moment of clarity and simplicity, captured in a landscape that seems unchanged for millennia.
