Mystical morning at Königssee near Schönau. by Jiri Viehmann

A mystical morning at Königssee in Schönau is an experience that will remain etched in your memory. The world is still silent as the first gentle rays of light glide over the surrounding mountain slopes. The sunrise bathes the scenery in a warm, golden light that is gently reflected on the smooth surface of the water. Fine wafts of mist hang over the tranquil lake, slowly drifting across the waters of the basin - like a fleeting veil that envelops the valley in a mysterious atmosphere.

The traditional boathouses rest on the shore, their dark wood blending harmoniously into the landscape. Their reflections blur in the delicate mist, while the first rays of sunlight make their outlines more clearly visible. The small island of Christlieger rises up in the middle of the lake, on which the statue of St Nepomuk seems to quietly watch over the lake - a silent guardian in a scene that seems to be from another world.

At this moment, Königssee shows its most poetic side. The clear air, the reflective surface of the water, the play of light and mist - all this makes the viewer pause, marvel and feel deeply connected to the sublime nature of the Berchtesgadener Land.
