I took this photo on the Staverden estate near Ermelo in the Veluwe. When I took this photo it was a bit foggy in the woods of the Veluwe. The fog with the sun coming through gives a fairy-like effect on the photo, the fog was just thick enough for this photo. When I drove towards the Staverden estate, I did not take the fog into account even though it does provide beautiful images. When I drove away from home it was sunny. It was also half a degree below zero and almost no wind. To take this picture I did use a tripod and a remote control so I could use a slower shutter speed. For this kind of photos you need some luck, these conditions you rarely get. Staverden is also called the white peacock castle because of the white peacocks on the estate, it is also the smallest town in the Netherlands.
