On the island of Esturoy, this stream flows into the Funningsfjørður on the Faroe Islands. On the road from Eiði to Gjógv you pass the highest mountain in the Faroe Islands: Slættaratindur. From the road it's a few minutes' walk across the somber ground, but then the view is breathtaking. Because it often rains, the skies on the Faroe Islands are often dramatic with beautiful clouds, and you'll be glad if there's an occasional ray of sunshine to be seen.
