About ‘Morning light over Gries’ by Marcel Hechler

It was my last morning in Gries in the Ötztal. I’d just spent a week hiking, and I was actually already on my way to my next stop, Vent. But as I walked past this little church, the sun was just rising behind the tower — and I had to stop.

The white onion-domed tower, with its red-patterned band, stands serenely against the mountain. Right behind the spire, the sun breaks through and settles like a delicate star upon the roof. Deep clouds drift past on the slope behind it, half-swallowing the summit, half-revealing it. In front of the church, a green meadow slopes down, over which the morning casts long, soft shadows.

This moment held me spellbound because everything was still. No wind, no noise, just the warm light and the mountains slowly coming to life. It was precisely this feeling of new beginnings and tranquillity at the same time that I wanted to capture.

The picture brings this quiet morning atmosphere into the room. It suits a living room or bedroom with warm, natural tones – anywhere where one can enjoy the mountains, the open spaces and a peaceful start to the day.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
