Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.

About ‘Morning light in the harbour’ by Geert Van Baelen

This atmospheric photograph shows a characterful fishing boat in the harbour, bathed in the warm light of early morning or late afternoon. The combination of the colourful fishing vessel, weathered wooden mooring posts and a tangle of cables and masts creates a striking maritime image with an authentic feel.

The fishing boat, with its striking red, white, yellow and green colours, takes centre stage. The bright colours contrast beautifully with the deep shadows and the clear blue water in the background. The harsh, raking light also emphasises the texture of the wood, the paint and the metal parts of the boat.

The weathered mooring posts in the foreground are particularly eye-catching. Their cracked wood, dark undersides and traces of years of contact with the water tell a story of tides, storms and everyday harbour life. Together with the ropes, nets and masts, they form an almost graphic pattern around the fishing boat.

The photograph exudes the atmosphere of a traditional fishing harbour by the sea. Here, everything revolves around the rhythm of the water, shipping and the work of the fishermen. The vibrant colours and deep contrast also give the photograph an almost painterly quality. As a result, the image fits not only within the realm of maritime photography, but also within photography of harbours, fishing boats and everyday life on the coast.
