English painter John Linnell (1792-1882) painted a portrait of a classical beauty called Miss Puxley in 1826.
In 2023, using modern graphic techniques, I turned the portrait into an equally classical, romantic yet somewhat surreal painting.
The roses you see are from the classic painting "Still Life with Roses in a Glass Vase", painted in about 1640 by Dutch painter Jacob van Hulsdonck .
Lots of pink, red, summer and spring in this work.
