As a photographer, you hope some elements come together. That's what happened to this photo. One early morning, I got on my bike to a mill near where I live. I had already seen that it was full moon and that this coincided with sunrise. As I cycled away, I was a bit disappointed that it was foggy. On location, however, it turned out to be a kind of magical moment where fog, sunrise and full moon coincided. The windmill is the Hempenser polder mill located between Leeuwarden and Wergea. Built in 1863, this work is a unique work of art with a great story.
