There are times when the Tuscan hills turn into a backdrop for dreams. This picture shows the famous cypress trees of San Quirico d'Orcia, perfectly aligned under an endless starry sky. The absolute highlight is the Milky Way, which appears straight above the trees like a luminous path through the universe. What inspired me was the silence of the night, the feeling of endless space and the realisation of how small you are under all those stars.
For this shot, I went out at night, far away from artificial light, to capture the magic of the universe in the Tuscan landscape. The gentle undulations, the dark silhouette of the trees and the twinkling light overhead combine to create a dreamy atmosphere. You immediately feel the tranquillity, wonder and timelessness of this place.
