Among the Hageland field edges I found these soft clouds of thistle fluff, ready to fly out. What attracts me is the contrast between spine and silk: those tantalising calyxes carrying a fluffy sky.
I worked with a wide aperture to blur the background in buttery soft bokeh, allowing the fine hairs of the seeds to float.
This is so typical of my walks close to home: no big journey, just small discoveries that slow down the pace. Indian summer is in the air; colours are warmer but already somewhat muted, as if the field is getting ready to whisper rather than call.
This image is my reminder of impermanence with lightness: seed letting go to start again.
In an interior, it brings softness and a rural feel; it invites you to look closer and slow down.
