This work shows a female figure that appears to have grown directly out of the earth. Her entire body is covered in dried clay and sand, giving her skin the appearance of a fragile, cracking crust. The closed eyes lend the depiction calm and strength at the same time - she appears vulnerable and strong, transient and eternal.
The work was created on the basis of a sketch template and was refined digitally. AI-supported tools (MidJourney, MagnificAI) and manual retouching in the Adobe Creative Cloud were used. The aim was to create a hyper-realistic aesthetic that visualises the relationship between man, nature and transience.
The figure appears to be connected to the ground, as if it is emerging from it and simultaneously returning to it. It seems to be shedding old layers of skin; even under the fingers and nose, new body parts seem to be waiting to be freed from old, past layers. This ambivalence of emergence and decay reflects the cycle of life.
The ultra-high resolution makes the work particularly suitable for large-format prints on canvas, acrylic or aluminium dibond. It unfolds a strong presence in modern living spaces, galleries or practice rooms - wherever art is both thought-provoking and visually impressive.
