In 1830, M. de Gijselaar painted this pretty Pelargonium flower.
The world-famous Girl with the Pearl Earring (painted around 1665-1667 by Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer) chose the flower and other attire to hide.
But unfortunately for her, she is unmistakably recognisable by her pearl....
