This McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom II is owned by the National Military Museum in Soesterberg.
The aircraft has the tail code CR. This tail code, which stood for Camp New Amsterdam, belonged to 32nd TFS of the U.S. Air Force. This unit was stationed at Soesterberg Air Base from 1955 to 1994 during the Cold War.
This picture was taken on 30 August 2024 during the nightshoot of the Summer Offensive.
