On Stoutenburg Estate there are two oaks almost 400 years old - called Adam and Eve. When Marten Soolmans and Oopjen Coppit married, these were still two just-grown twigs. By placing Rembrandt's famous twosome next to the current oaks, the passage of time is made visible at once.
Because of the exorbitant price paid for the two paintings of Marten and Oopjen, I have made this Marten and Oopjen extra cheap and significantly reduced the price.
