The village of Sineu is the geographical centre of the island of Mallorca. The authentic weekly market, which takes place every Wednesday, is visited by thousands of tourists and locals. It is the last market on the island where livestock is still sold.
In the time of King Jaume II, a palace was even built in Sineu, which served as the residence of many Mallorcan kings. Today, the palace is used as a nunnery.
