*** Attention: Real photography – no AI! *** In the historic centre of the Mallorcan town of Inca lies the charming Plaça d'Orient – a quiet square that delights visitors with its Mediterranean flair, splashing water and impressive architecture. At the centre of the square stands the elegant fountain of Plaça d'Orient. Its gentle water feature lends the square a relaxed atmosphere and invites visitors to pause for a moment, enjoy the moment and experience the typical Mallorcan way of life. Directly behind it stands the imposing parish church of Església de Santa Maria la Major, one of the town's most important historical buildings. The origins of the church date back to the 13th century, but the current building was not constructed until the 18th and 19th centuries and impresses with its Baroque sandstone façade and a long history closely linked to the development of Inca. Inca itself is considered the heart of the island of Mallorca and is centrally located between the capital Palma and the Tramuntana mountains. The town is particularly well known for its traditional leatherwork, lively weekly markets and the large autumn festival "Dijous Bo", which attracts thousands of visitors every year. Here, travellers can experience authentic Mallorca away from the major tourist resorts. The fountain on Plaça d'Orient, framed by the imposing church and surrounding cafés, is a particularly photogenic motif.
