Madeira goldcrest among exotic flowers (AI) (small, bird, tropical, bright, colours) by Natalie Bruns

This colourful painting depicts a small goldcrest sitting quietly on a branch, surrounded by a lush world of tropical flowers and leaves. The bird immediately catches the eye with its warm colours: a striking orange crown, soft yellow-brown feathers and a bright white belly. Despite its small size, the goldcrest has a lively and charming appearance that contrasts beautifully with the large leaves and flowers around it.

Around the bird, countless exotic flowers bloom in pink, purple, yellow and warm orange. Large leaves, tropical blossoms and colourful accents combine to form a vibrant botanical composition reminiscent of a tropical garden. Small splashes of paint and watercolour accents add extra movement and give the painting a playful, energetic feel.

The goldcrest is one of the smallest birds in Europe and is known for the striking golden stripe on its head, from which it gets its name. A special subspecies lives on Madeira: the Madeira goldcrest, which is mainly found in the island's lush forests. Despite its small size, it is a lively and curious bird that often moves high among the leaves and branches.

This painting brings colour, liveliness and a touch of tropical nature into your home. It can give an interior a fresh, cheerful look and appeals especially to people who love nature, travel and colourful botanical art.

The painting is part of a series of two works. One is a horizontal image featuring a small bird called a Goldcrest, and the other is a vertical image centred on the Trocaz Dove. Both paintings can be found in my personal shop in the folder 'watercolour animals'.

My trip to Madeira and the beautiful flowers I saw there inspired me to create this painting with the help of AI.
