This is a digitally produced collage of paintings made by old Dutch masters, a combination as my homage to the city of Delft (in the Netherlands).
Balthasar van der Ast (1593/1594 -1657) was a Dutch painter. He painted the still life "Flowers in a Wan-Li vase and shells" depicted in this collage around 1640-1650.
In 1632, Balthasar moved to Delft, in the year of birth of another Dutch painter: Johannes Vermeer. Johannes painted his painting "View of Delft" around 1660-1661 and his painting "View of houses in Delft" around 1632-1675, I have also incorporated both these paintings into this collage.
This unique collection of beautiful artworks has a blue background. There is also a version with a black background in my shop.
