About the artwork

Los Gigantes is a town on the west coast of the Canary Island of Tenerife. The place belongs to the municipality of Santiago del Teide and has 2721 inhabitants (2009). To the south of the place, Puerto de Santiago lies opposite it. Los Gigantes is best known for the imposing giant rock formations (Acantilados de Los Gigantes) that rise above the sea, which lie to the north of Los Gigantes. The town also owes its name to these giants (Los Gigantes = the giants). In some places these rock formations rise up to 800 metres above sea level[1]. The town itself has a large, rectangular enclosed seaport, walled by a concrete wall, due to the rough sea and waves that are found here. Between the port and the high rocks is a small lava beach, Playa Los Guios. Along the harbour is a road with a promenade with numerous restaurants. Close to the port is a freely accessible swimming pool, which overlooks the sea and the rocks of Los Gigantes. Los Gigantes is a tourist attraction on the island and this is reflected in the numerous shops and crowds, especially around the port. The town itself has many hotel and apartment complexes, which are still under construction today, with expansion against the high cliffs of this place. Tours are also available from the port along rocky outcrops or further out into the ocean to watch dolphins, for instance.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
