Long-haired cat on the toilet by Lauren Wilde

This work shows a beautiful long-haired cat sitting pontifically on the toilet, as if it were the most normal place in the world. With his full, soft fur and big, bright eyes, he looks at you calmly and confidently. There is something mischievous in his gaze, but also something stately, as if he knows exactly that he is the lead here. It is precisely that contrast between the elegant look of the cat and the everyday setting of the toilet that makes this image so strong and funny.

The colours are warm and rich. Deep browns, soft caramel colours and dark accents run through the fur and give the animal a lot of depth and texture. Here and there, lighter shades light up, making the fur almost tangible. The porcelain of the toilet is painted in soft white and cream colours, with subtle discolourations and flecks that give it a loose, picturesque look. The background consists of dark shades of blue and grey, interspersed with playful splashes and strokes of paint, keeping the work lively without being too busy.

What I love about this work is that it combines humour and beauty. It is not only a funny image for the toilet or bathroom, but also an artwork that will make you smile again and again. Perfect for cat lovers and for anyone who wants to give their toilet or bathroom a wink and a character of its own. Art that is light-hearted, surprising and, above all, great fun to look at.
