About ‘Lonely skater’ by Thijs Schouten

Along the enchanting waterways of Kinderdijk with mills, a picturesque village in the Netherlands, a skater gracefully dances on the frozen water. The sun glistens on the ice, making it sparkle like a shimmering diamond. The landscape is covered with a layer of snow, which envelops the canals and reed beds like a soft blanket.

As the skater glides along, a few flapping herons chase his elegant tracks. Their graceful movements mirror his grace on the ice. The wind whispers gently through the reed beds, like an invisible companion encouraging the skater to keep going.

In the distance, the famous windmills of Kinderdijk rise from the landscape. Their majestic silhouettes form an iconic symbol of Dutch tradition and technology. The sails turn slowly in the cold wind, telling the story of the past.

The skater feels the cold breeze on his face as he glides smoothly on the ice. His skates make soft, rhythmic sounds that blend with the gentle murmur of the water flowing beneath the ice. The feeling of freedom and serenity surrounds him as he follows his own path, surrounded by the impressive beauty of Kinderdijk.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
