Close to home, I found a special place where I could take this photo of a little owl. During the period when the little owl has to feed its young, it is particularly active. Even during the day he is busy looking for food. From poles and other vantage points, he lurks for his prey, such as earthworms, beetles and small rodents.
At this prominent pole, I waited several times, hoping the little owl would land. Patience was rewarded when it perched on the pole. In this photo, the little owl looks very penetratingly at the viewer, which makes this photo special.
The intensity of its gaze, combined with the serene surroundings, creates a moment of pure beauty. Capturing this moment was a reward for patience.
