Lisbon, Portugal. Vibrant old Yellow Tram in Selective Color on a Black and White Photo of Rua Augusta Street Monumental Arch in Praca do Comercio aka Terreiro do Paco.

In this striking image, a vibrant yellow tram glides along the cobblestone streets of Lisbon, Portugal, its vivid color boldly standing out against a grayscale backdrop of historic architecture. The vintage streetcar, a symbol of Lisbon’s charm and heritage, is framed in front of an ornate neoclassical building adorned with statues and sculptural details.

The partial desaturation technique intensifies the contrast, drawing the viewer’s eye immediately to the glowing tram, as though it's alive and moving through time while the city stands still. Passengers inside the tram seem to be enjoying a leisurely ride through the city’s iconic hilly streets, soaking in the blend of old-world elegance and modern urban rhythm. Overhead, the tangle of electrical wires gives a nod to the city’s enduring transportation legacy.

This image captures not only a moment in motion but also the soul of a city where history and present-day life coexist in vivid harmony. It’s more than just a mode of transport—it’s Lisbon’s heart on rails.
