Liquid colours: blue, turquoise, sand and old rose flow past each other (horizontal) by Marjolijn van den Berg

"Liquid colours: blue, turquoise, sand and dusky pink flow past one another (horizontally)"
This abstract work is a photograph (horizontal) of various liquids (including glitter paint) "flowing" across the canvas.
This is an experiment with various liquids (including paint with glitter) that “flow” across the canvas. By adding yet another liquid, a beautiful pattern emerges, formed by the paints coming together. The sharpness is roughly in the centre and diminishes slightly / becomes softer towards the edges of the painting.
In reality, this is just a small section of the canvas. I let the paint flow and, whilst moving, I selected a section to focus on for the final result.
This work is actually a combination of painting and photography. I didn’t ‘paint’ here to create a painting, but experimented with the paint to take a photograph. A different approach to that of a ‘traditional’ painter. I love experimenting for photography. I also experiment a lot with smoke, water and reflections. And, as you can see here, with different types of paint and liquids.
This piece would look stunning as wall art in the dining room, bedroom, hallway or simply above the sofa! It would also look lovely in business settings, such as on the wall in a meeting room, office waiting area or practice room!
