About "Lion on a salt pan"

About the artwork

In the heart of the African savannah, beyond the protective grasses, stretches a barren salt pan, tirelessly bleached by the sun. A young lion strides majestically and resolutely across this glistening, unforgiving terrain. His gaze is focussed, his ears alert to any possible movement in the distance. His golden mane, only in the beginnings of its glorious bloom, moves gently to the rhythm of his stride. You can recognise the signs of a brave warrior searching for one of the essential elements of life - water - in this harsh yet fascinating landscape.

The barren expanse of the salt pan offers no shade and no immediate refreshment. But the young lion, driven by an instinctive desire and innate will to survive, strides on fearlessly. The surface of the ground, scorching hot and crystalline, leaves fleeting traces of his migration. His eyes, barely focused by the shimmering heat, search for the silvery shimmering promise of a waterhole.

This moment, captured in a photograph, bears witness to the unstoppable drive and awe-inspiring spirit of the king of the savannah. It is a striking example of the beauty and ferocity of nature as manifested in the powerful, quietly determined movements of this young lion.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
