About ‘Lion in an aeroplane amongst the stars and clouds’ by Lina van Oers

An adventurous children’s bedroom illustration of a cheerful lion flying in a small aeroplane. The lion is wearing a shirt with reddish-brown stripes and is sitting proudly upright in the blue aircraft. His large brown mane forms a soft, rounded circle around his face, giving him a sweet appearance.

The aeroplane is painted in a greyish-blue with pink wings and a warm reddish-brown nose. At the front is a large wooden propeller, and underneath the aeroplane you can see small black wheels. Stars in ochre yellow and red float all around, along with soft beige clouds.

The combination of aviation, animals and stars makes this design ideal for a nursery or children’s bedroom with an adventure theme. The warm retro colours ensure the illustration remains playful without being garish. Perfect for little pilots and children who dream of flying.
